Kinki is Iceberg’s newest baby. And she’s an absolute wild child! At the time, Asian food in Pune was underwhelming and overdone. We wanted to break the monotony, give Pune something fresh and funky. For inspiration, we travelled to culinary meccas like Singapore and Hong Kong, and studied the latest trends in food and drink. We came back with a bucketload of ideas, and began curating the Kinki menu with renewed gusto.
But something strange happened. As Kinki’s story unfolded, she began to take on a life of her own. We wanted bold flavors. She wanted bold everything. We wanted to add a twist or two. She wanted to get completely twisted. We wanted our design theme to have a splash of red. She wanted to paint the whole town red. So when you visit Kinki, be excited but also be wary — for Kinki is unpredictable and chameleonic, and she always has something naughty up her chopsticks.

Kinki spurns traditional approaches, defiant little deviant that she is. She insists that we never stop innovating. And so we are constantly looking to one up her dynamic tastes and break age-old stigmas while we’re at it. One of them was Sushi — long considered a meal for the elite and affluent. With Kinki, we wanted to break that norm and rebrand Sushi as more affordable and approachable … something you might nosh on while grabbing a beer with your mates.
Of course, Kinki goes far beyond just Sushi. Flavors, textures, aromas, colors … Kinki delivers the whole shebang! Each dish has been handpicked from the bevy of options South East Asia and its numerous cuisines offer. That said, we also focus on bringing the unconventional to the front with our own twist on dishes like Cheung Fun, Asian Inspired Flatbreads, Edamame Hummus and many, many more.
